Help Carry On a Linn County Tradition
Every year, thousands of people come together in Linn County to honor the men and women who have served our country. Making that happen takes more than a parade committee—it takes people throughout our community who are willing to give their time, energy, and talents.
That’s where you come in.
Whether you’re interested in helping behind the scenes, working with the public, lending a particular skill, or becoming more involved with the Parade Committee, there’s a place for you.
You don’t have to know everything. You don’t have to make a huge commitment. You just have to be willing to help.
Together, we can continue this important tradition and give our veterans the celebration, recognition, and gratitude they deserve.
Parade Staging & Production
Veterans Day, 6:30 AM–1:00 PM
Help with directing parade participants, managing staging areas, and assisting with parade production and flow.
There is no heavy lifting required, though Volunteers should be comfortable being outdoors and on their feet.
Parade Merchandise & Information Tables
Veterans Day, 10 AM to 3 PM
Staff a table located along the parade route. Volunteers will hand out buttons, parade magazines, and/or other promotional materials and interact with parade attendees.
A canopy and chairs will be provided.
Join the Veterans Day Parade Committee
Interested in helping make the parade happen year after year? Join the planning committee and help with organizing, coordinating, promoting, and supporting the event before and during the parade.
Committee members can participate in planning throughout the year, with the level of involvement depending on their availability and interests.
